Day 1 : Hanoi arrival

Our tour guide will come to pick you up upon arrival. Then our car will take you to the city and check in at the hotel.

You will have a free evening to relax and prepare for the upcoming trip.

Day 2 : Hanoi city tour (B/L/D)

After having breakfast at hotel, our tour guide will come to pick you up for Hanoi City Tour.

In the morning, we will take you to some must-see places such as: Ho Chi Minh Complex with Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, his former stilt-house residence, the Presidential PalaceHo Chi Minh museum and Chua Mot Cot (One Pillar pagoda).

We will also visit Van Mieu (Temple of Literature) – the first university of Vietnam, built in 1070, originally as worshiping Confucius. The temple highlights the importance of education to Vietnamese people from ancient times.

After having lunch, we will go to The Vietnam Museum of Ethnology – which exhibits the specific cultural characteristics of 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam.

Heading back to the Hanoi old Quarter. We will visit Ngoc Son temple (Temple of The Jade Mountain) – located on Hoan Kiem Lake. 

After visiting those famous places in Hanoi, you will have chance to see the Hanoi Old Quarter by “xích lô” (cyclo). Cyclo riders will take you go around to see this bustling and crowded area with narrow streets – where is home to thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers.

The last activity is enjoying the unique Water Puppet show at Bong Sen theater.

The show starts at 17:00 and ends at 17:50.

After having dinner, you will come back to the hotel, freshen up and free time for leisure.

Day 3 : Hanoi – Halong Bay (B/L/D)

After having breakfast at hotel, our tour guide comes to pick up at hotel to go to Halong Bay – one of must visit places in Vietnam.

On the way to Quang Ninh province, you will leave behind the hustle of city and enjoy the tranquility of countryside. And you will sure have few short breaks on the way. After almost 4 hours on bus, you will check in at the cruise.

You will be welcomed by the crew and ready to discover the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The cruise will take you deeper into the Bay, passing thousands of islands and islets with various shapes.

The cruise also passes and stop at the floating village that is free from busy traffic, electric lights, houses, shops and buildings.

Our activities this afternoon are kayaking, cooking demonstration on cruise, swimming at beach or climbing up to the top of the island to catch the panorama of the Bay – all is up to you.

After a day full of activities, you will have dinner and relax in the evening on cruise.

Day 4 : Halong Bay – Hanoi – night train to Lao Cai (B/L/D)

You can get up early to join Tai Chi lesson with the sensei – it would make you feel relaxed and comfortable – all you need for the upcoming trip.

After that, you will have a light breakfast then take the small boat to Sung Sot cave (Amazing cave). Back to the cruise then you have our brunch or À la carte menu is served while cruising back to the pier.

You travel back to Hanoi in the afternoon for the night train to Lao Cai.

Day 5 : Lao Cai – Sapa – Trekking to Villages – Sapa (B/L/D)

In the early morning, you will arrive Lao Cai Railway Station and our driver will pick you up to take you to the hotel.

You will have breakfast and freshen up yourself before go trekking to Y Linh Ho and Lao Chai village. You will have a chance to see the daily life of Black H’Mong people. Then you will have lunch.

After lunch, you continue trekking to Ta Van village - walk through terraced fields and along Muong Hoa valley, you will see Ta Van village – home of Dzay people. Then you will walk to the high road, our car will pick you up to go back Sapa Town.

You will have a free evening to discover Sapa by yourself.

Day 6 : Sapa – Hill Tribe Market – Lao Cai – night train to Hanoi (B/L/D)

After having breakfast and check out, we will leave Sapa town. As each day it has one market opened, then we will take you to visit the colorful market of hill tribe people such as Flower Hmong, Phu La and Dao Tuyen gathering here to exchange goods, depending on day in week. If it is Sunday, you will have chance to visit Bac Ha – the most famous market in Lao Cai.

After lunch, we drive to Trung Do and trek 4km to visit its village - inhabited by Tay minority.

From the village we go by boat up the Chay River for 1.5 hours, where we experience the magnificent sight of the beautiful caves, the Raining waterfall. The boat ends at Bao Nhai. Drive back to Lao Cai to visit Tran Hung Dao temple, the century banian tree, the 12 zodiac-signs park, and the Chinese Vietnamese borderline.

In the afternoon, we will leave the market to go back to Lao Cai Railway Station. You will take the night train back to Hanoi.

Day 7 : Hanoi – flight to Hue (B/L/D)

After the night train from Lao Cai, you will arrive Hanoi around 05:00 am. Our driver will pick you up at Hanoi Railway Station and transfer you to Noi Bai Airport – ready for departure flight to Hue.

Arrival time: 10:10 am

When you arrive in Hue, you will do the check in at the hotel and have lunch.

You will have a free half day for relaxing or other personal activities.

Day 8 : Hue city tour (B/L/-)

After having breakfast, our tour guide will come to pick you up at your hotel.

In the morning, we will visit 3 tombs of 3 Kings from Nguyen Dynasty: Minh Mang, Khai Dinh, Tu Duc.

Our first stop is the Minh Mang Tomb. This is the final resting place of the 2nd emperor of Vietnam. This tomb is special in the way its architecture blends in seamlessly with its surroundings and landscape (Minh Mang was a staunch believer in Confucianism).

The next one is Khai Dinh Tomb. Though difficult to access (the tomb itself is located 127 steps from street level), this elaborate tomb is well worth a visit due to its mix of architectural styles. Khai Dinh spent a lot of time in France which is reflected in some European influences on his tomb. The complex also features an imperial audience court featuring twelve stone “bodyguards”.

The last tomb we visit today is the one of Tu Duc. This tomb was built for the fourth emperor of Vietnam. Incomparable in size and luxury, the sprawling complex was also used as the Emperor’s second home.

After that, you will have chance to visit making inscense village and have lunch at 1:00 pm.

After about 1 hour for having lunch, we will head back to the city and visit the Imperial City of Hue or as known as the Citadel.

Despite being heavily bombed in Vietnam War, the Citadel still stands impressive and is definitely one of the highlights of Hue. This attraction will just get better and better as the government has been restoring destructed buildings within the imperial city walls. The grounds are huge, and you can spend a fair few hours wandering through the gardens, lakes, ruins and buildings.

At 4:45 pm, we will go to visit Thien Mu pagoda – a historic temple in the city of Hue in Vietnam. Its pagoda has seven stories and is the tallest religious building in Vietnam. From here you can see the panorama of Hue city with Huong river flows along.

At the end of this trip today, you will have a boat trip along Huong river, from Thien Mu pagoda to go back to the city. We will drop you off at your hotel by 5:30 pm.

Day 9 : Hue – Da Nang – Hoi An (B/L/D)

After having breakfast at the hotel, we will move southward to Lang Co Beach, via Hai Van Pass, to Da Nang city. On the way, you will have a chance to see the beautiful nature scene of Central Vietnam.

We will have lunch at a local restaurant in Da Nang.

After lunch, we will visit Cham MuseumMarble MountainLinh Ung pagoda.

Later, we arrive Hoi An. You will check in at the hotel and have a free evening for leisure.

Day 10 : Hoi An Ancient Town - Thanh Ha pottery village (B/L/D)

In the morning we will commence a 2 hours of walking tour on foot around Hoi An Ancient Town. The historic, merchant town of Hoi An had become one of the busiest international trading ports of southeast Asia by the 17th and 18th centuries, and it still retains its medieval charm today, with many of its old buildings superbly preserved. The sites we visit include the Japanese Bridge, some of the many wooden houses, museums and Chinese temples that line the streets. We shall have lunch in a local restaurant.

In the afternoon we will embark on a boat trip on Thu Bon River. Enjoy a glimpse of Hoi An Old Town, meet the fishermen along the way and savor the charm of Thu Bon River. We will arrive at Thanh Ha Pottery village and Kim Bong Carpentry village. Visit the local workshops where the handicrafts are made.

Return to the hotel in mid-afternoon. The remainder of the day is absolutely for your leisure time to unwind Cua Dai beach

Day 11 : Hoi An – My Son Sanctuary – flight to Nha Trang (B/L/-)

After having breakfast at the hotel, around 08:00 am our tour guide will come and pick you up for My Son Sanctuary half day tour.

My Son Sanctuary is a cluster of abandoned and partially ruined Hindu temples constructed between the 4th and the 14th century AD by the kings of Champa. It was not only the Holy land of Champa Kingdom but also the most important constructions of the My Son civilization.

After the trip, leaving Hoi An, we will go to Da Nang airport, ready for flight to Nha Trang – one of these most beautiful coastal cities in Vietnam.

Day 12 : Nha Trang leisure day (B/-/-)

Today you will have a whole day to relax. You can discover Nha Trang by yourself or lie on the beach to get a tan.

You also can go to visit Thap Ba Ponagaror or just stay at the hotel to take mud bath and spa.

Day 13 : Nha Trang – private car to Da Lat (B/L/D)

After breakfast, we will travel up to Da Lat – The city of Love by a private car. On the way, we make a stopover at the scenic Ngoan Muc Pass and the Po Klong Jarai Cham Towers. These amazing structures represent an interesting culture and a colorful history of the Cham people.

After almost 3 hours, you will be in Da Lat in the afternoon. On arrival we can soak up the cool climate as much as we want by spending our time to wander around and catch our first glimpse of the town. You will check in at the hotel and have a free half day to relax or for other personal activities.

Day 14 : Da Lat city tour (B/L/-)

Today you will take a tour of Da Lat and the surrounding areas.

The influence of the French is prevalent since Da Lat was founded as a hill retreat for the colonials to escape the oppressive heat of the coastal plains and the Mekong Delta. This charming town is set around a lake and surrounded by forests, waterfalls and rolling countryside.

We will visit Summer Palace of King Bao Dai – the last king of Vietnam.

Then you will visit a very extraordinary house, as known as Hang Nga guesthouse or Crazy House, a brightly painted concrete house which winds itself around trees, mimicking their shapes.

We also visit Truc Lam Zen Monastery – the largest Zen Monastery of Vietnam.

You will have a free evening for personal activities. 

Overnight in Da Lat.

Day 15 : Da Lat – flight to Ho Chi Minh city (B/L/D)

Breakfast will be severed at hotel in the morning. You will have free morning for shopping some souvenir or specialties of Da Lat.

At noon, you do the check out and leave Da Lat for Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon by Vietnam Airlines.

Arrive Ho Chi Minh City, warmly welcomed by our tour guide, you will be transferred back to hotel.

Day 16 : Cu Chi Tunnel – Ho Chi Minh city tour (B/L/D)

Cu Chi Tunnel, otherwise known as the “Iron Triangle” or “Iron Land” is around 70km far from Ho Chi Minh city. It takes us more than 1 hour driving through the peaceful countryside with rice paddy fields.

We will have a short time to enjoy the introductory video of how the tunnels constructed; and then explore the maze of the tunnels. We also see various mantraps and the remains of an US tank as well as various bomb craters made by 500lb bombs dropped by B52 bombers.

After Cu Chi tunnel tour, we will head back to Ho Chi Minh city for lunch and the half day city tour in the afternoon.

The highlights of this afternoon are the Independence Palace (the former Presidential Place of the South Vietnam President in the past); the War Remnant museum where we can see so many artifacts, photographs and pictures documenting about the second Indochina war; the Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post Office – with significant architecture.

Before going back to our hotel, we have short time to visit the Ben Thanh market.

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.

Day 17 : Ho Chi Minh – Mekong Delta – Can Tho (B/L/D)

Take 2 hours of driving to My Tho city, boating along the Hau River to Thoi Son Island; people warmly welcome you with fruits served in farmers' gardens. You will have a chance to enjoy interesting traditional music. Then take a boat trip to discover the hidden mysterious daily life of friendly people.

You will have lunch in local restaurant, take more cruise to further island to be living with local people's activity: joining in Coconut Candy making with local ladies, tasting Banana wine, hiking in fruits gardens to meet the bee-grower, drinking an impressive honey tea, and relaxing in quiet surroundings.

Then we will back to the boat wharf, continue driving to Can Tho, passing vast rice fields, and check-in upon arrival.

Day 18 : Can Tho – Cai Rang floating market – Ho Chi Minh city (B/L)

Early in the morning, we will take the boat trip to Cai Rang Floating market, the most unique market in Vietnam, see people with goods sales from boat to boat, more visit to local gardens, taste the Coconut Milk, fresh fruits.

Landing on the local people village we will visit rice noodles and rice papers workshops of local people.

Then we will transfer to visit Huynh Thuy Le ancient house. For anyone who has read the book or seen the film L’Amant (The Lover), now will have a chance to see the house which is a key setting for Marguerite Duras's acclaimed autobiographical novel. The "Lover's House" has a unique blend of French and Chinese architecture, was first built in 1895 and restored in 1917.

After visiting the ancient house, we will have lunch at the local restaurant and then transfer back to Ho Chi Minh city.

You will have a free evening for relaxing or shopping before come back to your country.

Day 19 : Ho Chi Minh departure (B)

As today is your last day in Vietnam, you will have a free morning to prepare and pack all your luggage before depart.

At noon, you will do the check out then transfer to Tan Son Nhat airport for departure flight.
