Day 1 : Hanoi arrival (D)

Our tour guide will come to pick you up upon arrival. Then our car will take you to the city and check in at the hotel.

This evening, travel guide will take you out to sample some of Hanoi’s superb cuisine for welcoming dinner.

Day 2 : Hanoi City tour (B,L)

We will take you to some must-see places such as: Ho Chi Minh Complex with Ho Chi Minh Mausoleumhis former stilt-house residence, the Presidential PalaceHo Chi Minh museum and Chua Mot Cot (One Pillar pagoda).

We will also visit Van Mieu (Temple of Literature) – the first university of Vietnam, built in 1070, originally as worshiping Confucius. The temple highlights the importance of education to Vietnamese people from ancient times.

After having lunch, we will head back to the Hanoi old Quarter. We will visit Ngoc Son temple (Temple of The Jade Mountain) – located on Hoan Kiem Lake.

After visiting those famous places in Hanoi, you will have chance to see the Hanoi Old Quarter by “xích lô” (cyclo). Cyclo riders will take you go around to see this bustling and crowded area with narrow streets – where is home to thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers.

The last activity is enjoying the unique Water Puppet show.

Day 3 : Hanoi – Halong Bay (B,L,D)

From 8:00 am to 8:15 am, tour guide will come to pick you up for Ha Long Bay Trip today. It takes about 3-hour driving through the Red River Delta to Ha Long City. Comfort stop en route for photos and coffee before arriving to Ha Long City.

At noon, we will check in the cruise, ready for discover Ha Long Bay. Through the limestone cliffs and emerald waters of Ha Long Bay, we will have a chance the to take in the stunning scenery of this World Heritage Site. While on board we will be served a sumptuous fresh, local seafood lunch followed by a swim and exploring some of the limestone caves in this area. When the sun comes down we drop anchor for the night nearby a remote island.

Day 4 : Ha Long – Hanoi (B,L)

The wondrous Ha Long Bay is truly one of Vietnam’s most impressive scenic sights. We relax and enjoy on boat for an exploration of the legendary Ha Long Bay. This exciting cruise will provide us a fantastic view of the picturesque scenery blending with the sky and some 3,000 limestone islands rising amazingly from the clear and emerald water. The limestone karst formations are littered with beaches, grottoes and beautiful caves. Along the way we will anchor for a leisurely swim in a secluded cove and an enjoyable visit to one of the many hidden grottoes beneath towering cliffs. After lunch, we drive from the unforgettable Ha Long Bay back to Hanoi.

Day 5 : Hanoi – Ninh Binh (B,L)

From 7:45 am to 8:00 am, our tour guide will com to pick you up for the Hoa Lu – Tam Coc trip, in Ninh Binh province.

After about 2 hours of driving on National Route 1A and leaving behind the hustle and bustle of urban city, we will reach Ninh Binh province.

At first, we will visit Hoa Lu – the historic capital of Viet Nam in the 10th and 11th centuries and the famous ancient temples that worshipping Le & Dinh King.

Then we will transfer to Tam Coc and have lunch around 1:00 pm.

After having lunch, we will have a boat trip along Ngo Dong river and you will have a chance to see the beauty of Tam Coc – is referred to as Halong Bay by its majestic limestone cliffs and mysterious caves.

Then we might have a cycle trip in 1 hour on quiet roads through villages, rice fields, rivers and rocky outcrops in Tam Coc – Bich Dong (around 5 km) – it’s optional.

At 5:00 pm, we will head back to Hanoi and drop you off at your hotel around 7:00 pm.

Day 6 : Hanoi – flight to Hue (B,D)

After having breakfast and check out at the hotel, our driver will pick you up and transfer you to Noi Bai Airport – ready for departure flight to Hue.

When you arrive in Hue, you will do the check in at the hotel and have lunch.

You will have a free half day for relaxing or other personal activities.

Day 7 : Hue city tour (B,L)

After having breakfast, our tour guide will come to pick you up at your hotel.

In the morning, we will visit 3 tombs of 3 Kings from Nguyen Dynasty: Minh Mang, Khai Dinh, Tu Duc.

Our first stop is the Minh Mang Tomb. This is the final resting place of the 2nd emperor of Vietnam. This tomb is special in the way its architecture blends in seamlessly with its surroundings and landscape (Minh Mang was a staunch believer in Confucianism).

The next one is Khai Dinh Tomb. Though difficult to access (the tomb itself is located 127 steps from street level), this elaborate tomb is well worth a visit due to its mix of architectural styles. Khai Dinh spent a lot of time in France which is reflected in some European influences on his tomb. The complex also features an imperial audience court featuring twelve stone “bodyguards”.

The last tomb we visit today is the one of Tu Duc. This tomb was built for the fourth emperor of Vietnam. Incomparable in size and luxury, the sprawling complex was also used as the Emperor’s second home.

After that, you will have chance to visit making inscense village and have lunch at 1:00 pm.

After about 1 hour for having lunch, we will head back to the city and visit the Imperial City of Hue or as known as the Citadel.

Despite being heavily bombed in Vietnam War, the Citadel still stands impressive and is definitely one of the highlights of Hue. This attraction will just get better and better as the government has been restoring destructed buildings within the imperial city walls. The grounds are huge, and you can spend a fair few hours wandering through the gardens, lakes, ruins and buildings.

At 4:45 pm, we will go to visit Thien Mu pagoda – a historic temple in the city of Hue in Vietnam. Its pagoda has seven stories and is the tallest religious building in Vietnam. From here you can see the panorama of Hue city with Huong river flows along.

At the end of this trip today, you will have a boat trip along Huong river, from Thien Mu pagoda to go back to the city. We will drop you off at your hotel by 5:30 pm.

Day 8 : Hue – Da Nang – Hoi An (B,L)

After having breakfast at the hotel, we will move southward by private car to Lang Co Beachvia Hai Van Pass, to Da Nang city. On the way, you will have a chance to see the beautiful nature scene of Central Vietnam.

We will have lunch at a local restaurant in Da Nang.

After lunch, we will visit Cham MuseumMarble MountainLinh Ung pagoda.

Later, we arrive Hoi An. You will check in at the hotel and have a free evening for leisure.

Day 9 : Hoi An ancient town – My Son Sanctuary – Da Nang – flight to Ho Chi Minh city (B,L)

Today our tour guide will take you walk around Hoi An ancient town – one of the World Culture Heritages of Vietnam. The influences of several Asian cultures can be seen in these antique houses and waterside buildings. It is also famous as a place to be instantly created inexpensive tailored outfits. You will visit the Sa Huynh Museum, located near the Japanese Covered Bridge, which contains exhibitions from the earliest period of Hoi An's history.

We will have lunch at a local restaurant and then head to visit My Son SanctuaryMy Son Sanctuary was not only the Holy land of Champa Kingdom but also the most important constructions of the My Son civilization.

After that, our driver will transfer you to the airport in Da Nang, ready for departure flight to Ho Chi Minh city.

When you arrive Ho Chi Minh city, our driver will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel.

Day 10 : Cu Chi Tunnel – Ho Chi Minh city tour (B,L)

Cu Chi Tunnel, otherwise known as the “Iron Triangle” or “Iron Land” is around 70km far from Ho Chi Minh city. It takes us more than 1 hour driving through the peaceful countryside with rice paddy fields.

We will have a short time to enjoy the introductory video of how the tunnels constructed; and then explore the maze of the tunnels. We also see various mantraps and the remains of an US tank as well as various bomb craters made by 500lb bombs dropped by B52 bombers.

After Cu Chi tunnel tour, we will head back to Ho Chi Minh city for lunch and the half day city tour in the afternoon.

The highlights of this afternoon are the Independence Palace (the former Presidential Place of the South Vietnam President in the past); the War Remnant museum where we can see so many artifacts, photographs and pictures documenting about the second Indochina war; the Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post Office – with significant architecture.

Before going back to our hotel, we have short time to visit the Ben Thanh market.

 Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city. 

Day 11 : Ho Chi Minh – My Tho – Ben Tre – Can Tho (B,L,D)

Take 2 hours of driving to My Tho city, boating along the Hau River to Thoi Son Island; people warmly welcome you with fruits served in farmers' gardens. You will have a chance to enjoy interesting traditional music. Then take a boat trip to discover the hidden mysterious daily life of friendly people.

You will have lunch in local restaurant, take more cruise to further island to be living with local people's activity: joining in Coconut Candy making with local ladies, tasting Banana wine, hiking in fruits gardens to meet the bee-grower, drinking an impressive honey tea, and relaxing in quiet surroundings.

Then we will back to the boat wharf, continue driving to Can Tho, passing vast rice fields, and check-in upon arrival.

Day 12 : Can Tho – Cai Rang float market – Tra Su – Chau Doc (B,L,D)

Drive further 6km to reach Cai Rang floating market where a colorful display of boats carrying juicy fruits and vegetables gather for daily exchanging.

Then we will head to Chau Doc city. On the way to Chau Doc, we will visit Tra Su Cajuput Forest and from there we take a boat trip to visit Tra Su ecological forest in the area of over 800 ha. There are so many of bird kinds here above the evergreen Cajuput trees living almost around the year in water.

After Tra Su Cajuput Forest, we will drive another hour to Chau Doc city, located on the Cambodian border, a riverine mix of people of Viet, Khmer, Cham and Chinese nations. And we visit the village of Muslim people in Chau Doc in the afternoon.

Day 13 : Chau Doc – speedboat to Phnom Penh (B,L)

After having breakfast at the hotel, we will check out and get ready for a boat trip to Phnom Penh along Mekong River.

After 4 hours on Mekong River, we will reach Phnom Penh city by 12:00 noon. We will check in at the hotel and have lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, our tour guide will pick you up for Phnom Penh half day city tour.

You will have a chance to learn more about the history of the Khmer Rouge regime with a visit to the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum. Then its on to the National Museum, the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda, and Wat Phnom.

Day 14 : Phnom Penh city tour – flight to Siem Reap (B,L)

After having breakfast and checking out at the hotel, our tour guide will take you to visit Independent Monument and then you will have short time to go shopping at the famous Russian Market.

Day 15 : Siem Reap – Angkor Temples (B,L)

Today we will go to Angkor – the ancient capital of the Khmer Empire. We will explore the Angkor Thom complex, includes these monuments such as: the jungle temple of Ta Prohm – overgrown by large trees and vines, the Bayon Temple, the Baphuan, the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King.

In the afternoon we visit Angkor Wat – means The City of Temples – the largest religious monument in the world, and then see the sunset at the Pre Rup Temple.

Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 16 : Siem Reap – Banteay Srei Temple – Tonle Sap Lake – Roluos Temple (B,L)

Today we will take a drive out through the Siem Reap countryside to visit Banteay Srei Temple.

Banteay Srei means the Citadel of Woman and was made of pink sandstone and decorated with ornate stone carvings, and then its on to Banteay Samre Temple.

After that, we will go on a trip to explore the amazing floating village on Tonle Sap Lake, and see a lifestyle adapted to living on the water.

Then we will have lunch in a local restaurant.

In the afternoon we will visit the Roluos Temple Complex. The complex displays the remains of the first major capital of the Khmer empire and contains several significant monuments including BakongPreah Ko and Lolei. The evening is yours to enjoy at leisure.

Day 17 : Siem Reap – flight to Luang Prabang (B)

You will have a free morning to relax and pack all your luggage before check out.

In late afternoon our driver will pick you up and transfer you to the airport for a short flight to Luang Prabang, the ancient first capital of Lane Xang kingdom. It is the centre of religious life in Laos and a World Heritage City.

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met by the local guide and transferred (30 minutes) to the hotel to check in. Evening is yours to relax and chill out.

Day 18 : Luang Prabang – Big Brother Mouse – Ban Khia Luang – Pak Ou Cave (B,L)

The day starts with a visit to the Big Brother Mouse shop to select some books for the village visit. Laos is a developing country and many children in Lao villages had never seen a book. Big Brother Mouse is a non-profit publishing project in Laos. Big Brother Mouse focuses on publishing books that improve literacy and quality of life; and on making those books accessible, particularly in rural Lao villages.

We then head north by car along route 13, before taking an unpaved road to Ban Khia Luang village. We then have ample time to visit the school, play with the kids and watch them enjoy their new books. We also take some time to explore the rest of the village, where you can see weaving and visit the local temple.

We stop for lunch at the village, which can either be a western picnic lunch, or traditional Lao food such as sticky rice, laap and fresh vegetables cooked by the villagers.

After lunch we say good bye to the village and drive to Ban Khoklin, which takes us through some beautiful scenery of mountains and paddy fields. At Ban Khoklin we then board a private boat down the Nam Ou river for 30 minutes to Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims. and continue down the Mekong River back to Luang Prabang, arriving back there by late afternoon.

Day 19 : Luang Prabang – Kuang Si Waterfall – Ban Chan (B,L)

Today we cross the Mekong River by boat, to the picturesque village of Ban Chan – a pottery village. We then visit the morning Phousi Market, where you will see such diverse offerings as dried buffalo skin, local tea and saltpeter among the chickens, vegetables and hill-tribe weavings.

Laos is also known for its traditional crafts, and today you will visit local villages of Laos ethnic minority groups at Ban Ouay – a Hmong village, Ban Ou – a Laoloum village and Ban Thapene – a Khmu village. This then takes us to the beautiful Kuangsi Waterfall where you can cool off with a refreshing swim in the pools or walk along the forest trails.

We then return to Luang Prabang by late afternoon.

Day 20 : Luang Prabang – flight to Vientiane (B)

Before we catch a flight to Vientiane in the afternoon, we will have this morning to visit The National Museum at the former Royal Palace, which displays a lovely collection of the artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through the last sovereign. We will also visit the Central Market to shop some souvenir or specialties of Laos.

Upon arrival, our tour guide will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel to check in.

Then we will go to visit some major temples including the oldest Wat Sisaket – a temple of thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo – previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. On the way to the famous, sacred structure of That Luang Stupa, we stop to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument – Vientiane's own Arc de Triumph, sunset by Mekong riverside.

In the evening, we will go back to the hotel.

Day 21 : Vientiane half day city tour (B)

Today we continue visiting the rest of Vientiane by foot, including Wat Ong TueWat Inpeng and Wat Haisok. We will pass by the major shopping area continuing to the Vientiane Central Market of Talad Sao and Talad Kouadin, where various goods are displayed for sale; including fresh food, household goods, souvenirs, textiles, gold, silver and antiques.

You will have a free afternoon and evening for relaxing, packing or other personal activities in last day of this tour.

Day 22 : Vientiane departure (B)

After breakfast and check out, we will visit the Morning Market and the weaving village of Ban Nong Bouathong (if time permits).

The tour ends after your transfer to Wattay airport for departure flight.
