Night 1: Hanoi – night train to Lao Cai

From 8:30 pm to 9:00 pm, our tour guide will come and pick you up at your hotel to go to the Hanoi Railway Station.

You will take overnight train to Sapa.

 

Day 1: Lao Cai – Sapa – Cat Cat – Y Linh Ho - Lao Chai – Ta Van (B,L,D)

You will arrive Lao Cai Railway Station at 5:30 am. Our driver will pick you up and transfer you to Sapa town. You will have breakfast and take a shower.

We start to make our special and different trip by driving 3 Km by Jeep to Cat Cat village. We start our trek from this cultural village, here is the home of Hmong, enjoy the waterfall, an old hydro power station built by French.

After 12 km of trekking, we will visit Y Linh Ho and Lao Chai villages of the H’mong minority. After lunch at a local family in Lao Chai or in a drinking shop nearby the river bank, we keep on hiking to Ta Van village of the Dzay where we stay overnight in a local family. Here you have opportunity to experience their daily life, work and original custom.

With your tour guide and the house owners, we will set up a temporary cooking class to learn how to cook Vietnamese food for dinner.

Enjoying your dinner and getting to know local typical traditional customs, cultural….

Overnight in Ta Van homestay.

 

Day 2: Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai – Su Pan - Ban Ho (B,L,D)

Breakfast at the home-stay and say goodbye to them, ready for the upcoming trip.

You will take the road to Giang Ta Chai village to see the Red Dzao people via the paths through terraces and bamboo forests. Visit a waterfall, a suspension bridge. 

After spending time visiting the village, making friend with the Dzao and experiencing the hospitality you will cross the river by another suspension bridge and then uphill again to Su Pan village where you will pay visiting to a local handicraft center where H’mong and Dzao women gather for exchanging experience and skill of making handicrafts. 

A late lunch will be prepare here nearby this center and then you have time relaxing as well as getting acquaintance with local school boys, girls and their teachers as well. 

Keep walking a little along the main road, get through the rice terraced paddies to the second homestay in Ban Ho village of the Tay minority people where you will spend the night on a wooden-stilt house. Sharing dinner with the family prepared by the host and your tour guide with the local speciality and wine would be the best time for relaxing and cultural exchange.

Overnight in Ban Ho homestay.

 

Day 3: Ban Ho – Nam Toong - Sapa – Lao Cai – night train to Hanoi (B,L)

You will be waken up by the by the village animals or farming activity. After the breakfast is a trek of 4 km to Nam Toong remoted village of the Red Dzao people, learning their specific customs, enjoying the lanscape before getting back to the homestay and have lunch.

Then we will go back to Sapa by jeep. 

You will take the night train back to Hanoi. 

Stay overnight on train. We will arrive in Hanoi around 5:00 am.
