Night 1: Hanoi – night train to Sapa

From 8:30 pm to 9:00 pm, our tour guide will come and pick you up at your hotel to go to the Hanoi Railway Station.

You will take overnight train to Sapa.

 

Day 1: Lao Cai – Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van (B,L,D)

Our driver will pick you up at Lao Cai Railway station early in the morning then transfer you to Sapa around 8:00 am.

You will check in at the hotel, have breakfast and take a shower.

Start from Sapa at 10:00 am by jeep and then get down to a valley, visit an H'mong village and the hydroelectric power station built by the French.

Take a small path to go and visit other 2 villages of the H'mong and the Dzay people – Lao Chai and Ta Van village.

Estimated distance trekking: 12 km

Estimated time trekking: 3.5 hours

You will have lunch en-route and stay in Ta Van at a Dzay family. Stay with them you will have a chance to learn more about their culture. In the evening, you can help them to prepare and cook for dinner.

Overnight at Ta Van village. 

 

Day 2: Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai – Sapa (B,L)

Breakfast at the home-stay and say goodbye to them, ready for the upcoming trip.

You will take the road to Giang Ta Chai village to see the Red Dzao people via the paths through terraces and bamboo forests. Visit a waterfall, a suspension bridge. Picnic lunch en-route and cross the river.

Estimated time trekking: 3 hours

Then you will visit an H'mong village up to the mountain. Take a jeep back to Sapa. Visit the ancient stone circle on the way back. Check in hotel and have a free evening for relaxing or other personal activities in Sapa.

Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 3: Sapa – Hill Tribe Market – Lao Cai – night train to Hanoi (B,L,D)

After having breakfast and check out, we will leave Sapa town.

As each day it has one hill tribe market, then we will take you to the market, depending on the day in week. For example, if it is Sunday, you will have chance to visit Bac Ha – the most famous market in Lao Cai.

In the afternoon, we will leave the market to go back to Lao Cai Railway Station.

You will take the night train back to Hanoi.

Stay overnight on train.

We will arrive in Hanoi around 5:00 am.
